Many customers ask us if they should use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services. To illustrate how SEO improves your web site traffic and increases number of visitors, we would like to offer you an example of different levels SEO implementation.

One of our customers, large Real Estate Company in Pattaya and Jomtien area, decided to franchise their business and created 3 identical copies of their web site with 3 different domains dedicated to each area of business.

All 3 domains reflect web site business and include main keywords, related to real estate business:

All 3 web sites show the same property listings, more than 2000 in total, but front pages are different to describe specific business area, in this case – Pattaya, Jomtien and Thailand. We helped all 3 franchises to optimize front page text for keyword density, number of characters and  created site specific meta tags, such as site description, page title and keywords.

We offered Silver SEO Package for all 3 domains, considering big competition in real estate market in Thailand. As a result of our negotiations with clients, owners of web sites decided on following:

  • Domain 1: Silver SEO Package on monthly basis for 6 month, then continue with Basic SEO
  • Domain 2: No SEO services after initial front page optimization
  • Domain 3: Basic SEO Package

As you may see on Google Analytics charts, there is considerable difference in number of web site unique visitors:

A “Unique visitor” is a statistic describing a unit of traffic to a Web site, counting each visitor only once in the time frame of the report. This statistic is relevant to site publishers and advertisers as a measure of a site’s true audience size, equivalent to the term “Reach” used in other media.

This data, shows one month results from March 23, 2009 to April 22, 2009 and in simple words, comparing to “non-optimized” web site www.properties-in-thailand.com results are:

  • Domain 2: No SEO services – 48 visitors/month
  • Domain 3: Basic SEO Package – 513 visitors/month
  • Domain 1: initial Silver SEO Package  + Basic SEO – 3,212 visitors/month

We will let you draw your own conclusion, keeping in mind that in real estate business, we usually apply 10/10 rule to number of visitors. This rule simply describe that only 10% of visitors will send inquiry regarding products or services and only 10% of those will use services.
